Today is David’s birthday. He was a great older brother and always protected me. I remember when I was 6 or so and was playing at a new friend’s house up the street (he was 8, picture left). There was some confusion about where I should be, home versus at the friend’s house, and he got into an argument with my friend’s mom. “That’s my property,” he said while pointing to me, “and he’s coming with me.” He won the argument and off we went. I didn’t mind that he claimed me as his property because he was trying to say I was his family member and he was trying to look after me. My mom must have sent him to come and get me. The specialness of you as friend, father and love of DeDe’s life the wonderful times you so welcomed me to share in your lives! I never knew what to get you for a gift, you always said “I Have Everything I Could Want or Wish For”! You my special son (in-law) were one of the Greatest Gifts in my life! I loved you from the start and today you are so very much a part of my heart! I miss you and think of you and remember on your birthday and every day I live!
