A DAUGHTER SHARES IN SO MANY WAYS

You’re a daughter to be proud of, for no matter what you do, The loving person that you are is what comes shinning through… And among the joys of living the nicest one by far…I having a daughter grow to be as special as you are. I was so blessed to have shared this life with this wonderful woman, my daughter that brought such joy, love and happiness into my life. I will miss you my darling but will always remember just how you are! Mom

THE MEANEST MOTHER IN THE WORLD

I had the meanest mother in the world. While other kids had candy for breakfast, I had to eat cereal, eggs and toast.

While other kids had Cokes and candy for lunch, I had a sandwich. As you can guess, my dinner was different from the other kids’ dinners, too.

My mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times. You’d thinK we were on a chain gang or something. She had to know who our friends were and what we were doing.

I am ashamed to admit it, but she actually had the nverve to break the child labor law. She made us work. We had to wash dishes, make the beds and learn how to cook. (Don’t think they’d got to that much yet, she still was working on them cleaning up after themselves)

That woman must have stayed awake nights thinking up things for us kids to do. And she always insisted that we tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

By the time we were teen-agers, our life became even more unbearable. None of this tooting the car horn for us to come running; she embarrassed us to no end by insisting that the friend come to the door to get us. (Just a few days and a teenage son she would have)

I forgot to mention that most of our friends were allowed to date at the mature ages of 12 and 13, but our old-fashioned mother refused to let us date until we were 16. She really raised a bunch of squares. None of us was ever arrensted for shoplifting or busted for dope. And who do we have to thank for this? You’re right, our mean mother.

I am trying to raise my children to stand a little straighter and taller, and I am secretly tickled to peices when my children call me mean. I thnk
God for giving me the meanest mother in the world. Our country doesn’t need a good 5 cent cigar. It needs more mean mothers like mine.

I THINK LUKE AND RYAN WOULD STAND UP AND SAY, THEY HAD THE MOST LOVING, CARING AND FUN MOM IN THE WHOLE WORLD AND BEYOND!

You’re a wonderful mother and Grand mother to Dede, David, Luke and Ryan. So gentle and yet so strong.. With a warm understanding and infinite patience,
And wonderful gentleness, too. I am thinking about you and take good care of yourself and thank you so much for sharing of this site.

Your daughter is a great soul! Only knew her a few years through the dive shop, but she and David left their mark.
