I look around me at the things his hands brought into being -- the rough hewn birdhouse on the bookshelf, the glossy ceramic pumpkin and maple leaf on the mantle. And there his smiling image too, and the shark tooth treasure of his. I wish we shared these years still as I remember and think of what could have been.
