I was very happy to read more about Dede’s family! I was Dede’s middle school PE teacher in King City Ca. way back when. My husband Bill Hunt and I looked her up at the dive shop after a snorkeling activity in Hawaii to get “real” equipment for future events. Although we didn’t get to see Dede on a regular basis, we kept apprised of the adventures they were involved with via her father Andy Anderson here in King City. My heart goes out to all of you along with my sense of disbelief that four great souls have gone from us. Janice
Thank you for posting this – what a great venue for keeping everyone apprised. Happy belated birthday, David – I believe in Angels and that there are 4 very special Angels looking down and will be attending on Saturday. I will be there, honored to be able to pay tribute to this wonderful family. It will be a hard time, but a necessary one. Thoughts and prayers still with you all – this is a tough time – lots of emotions – hang in there. . . I have known David and his family for several years. I was Luke’s third grade teacher. Before that, I was scuba diving in Indonesia with David. DeDe was a good friend. Having been a teacher, she always gave me a “knowing” look when she came in to the classroom. This is a terrible loss for more people than you can imagine.
I am involved in the local sailing community and would like to offer a ride on a 38′ sailboat, should you want to scatter the ashes at sea. Please let me know.

Dede, …so hard to realize…and recalling so many great childhood memories being a kid with you…and our families always being around water. .. Pismo, …waiting for our dads as they searched for clams, scuba dived…. standing on Zip Sleds waiting for waves on the beach at cayucos….and running across hot sand at the “Shut-Inns.”
Jesus Bless and Keep You and Your Precious Husband and Children, in his tender care, and God Bless your beautiful Mother, Father, Mitch, and Family, and also your husband’s family ….ALL Your family and friends who love you all, and who were able to share precious time with all of you at some point during your lives. God’s putting puzzle pieces together again, and you are all a perfect fit for Heaven.
