Gathering for Luke and Ryan’s Friends Tonight

Above – Luke and Ryan Houghton who perished with their parents in a plane crash last week.

From 6 – 7 p.m., there will be a gathering at DeLaveaga in the amphitheater, that will include some families from Branciforte Middle School who would like to honor Luke, as well as DeLaveaga staff.  If there are other students and families who were not in our class that might like to attend, please share this with them.  Linda Aragon has been kind enough to offer to get fabric upon which people can write thoughts, offerings, prayers, etc., which will then be tied to the fence by the Kindergarten rooms and will act as a beautiful homage to our friends. The district will also be providing grief counselors who will be giving information on how to deal with grief in children and also provide contact if you or your student would like counseling now or in the future.

Sorry about the short notice, just got permission from S. Fisher to post.  Events like this are happening around town.  Please let me know about them.

  2. If a vessel is still needed for scattering of ashes, I run the Chardonnay II….. It holds 49 people. Ryan had come sailing onboard many times with my son Jaden.
Please let me know…. I’ll be at Twin Lakes tomorrow

  3. To the many friend of Luke and Ryan, I just want to thank you and to share how much spending time with you and your families meant to me. Both of the boys loved school (well most of the time Ha!) Alot of their learning came through their travels around the world. It was touching for me to know how they shared their lives and adventures with you their friends. To realize how much so many were missing them already was touching to my heart. I knew how wonderful and fun they were to be around, and I even got to share some times with some of their friends. We all were so blessed having them in our lives even though the time has been shorter than we wanted. I just want to thank you for being there for them in your sharing of times and I hope you will always remember them and the fun you had with them. I also want you to know these past days have been made more comforted by your words, cards, gathering of times to share with each other, and the messages on the fence were so beautiful and colorful and spoke so much. They were truly intellectual boys and they loved life and experiencing each adventure. Bless them and bless you! Til you meet with them again, remember and love them in your memories. Nana Linda
