-Melody Appleton and Lucia Orlando

Note from John: Thanks Melody and Lucia for organizing this.  I put in these two photos of David in Cozumel because it shows how much fun he and the others had on their trips.  Looks like they’re marching in a parade in the city square (somebody please fill me in).  These are the types of memories I’ll treasure.  David’s enthusiastic greeting and happy smile are what I’ll miss the most.  These fun times and stories are what we want to share at the beach.

I wanted to wait for John to post some wonderful picture to go with a special story about this fun and well celebrated day on the Beach. But I want to send a special thank you out to all of the friends who put so much of themselves into this labor of love not only for David, DeDe and the boys, but for each of us that were blessed in the sharing of the day. I will write a little story later about the impact it had on me, but for now I wanted to send this special note of great love and thankfulness to you all! Those that were unable to attend for many reasons, please know that you were missed and not forgotten. I expressed to Laura this morning in an email, that one of the greatest gifts that have come my way throughout this terrible loss has been the new family of friends that have reached out to me and let me share in their love and many shared experiences. To the many that I met in person after sharing so much these past few months on the blog it was good to now be able to put a face to a name. This outpouring of friendship has fueled my faith and supports the thoughts that when one door closes another opens and angels are sent to help us through our pain. Thank you and God Bless.

Being at the bonfire at Seabright beach Saturday evening felt like one huge, warm embrace. Linda, it was an honor to meet you face-to-face; know I’m thinking of you and wishing you comfort and peace every day. With love, warmth and smiles… forever here for you… Michele (831) 335-3184, Felton
