KOIN Coverage Of Aqua Safaris Opening

Although there was a lot of coverage when the accident happened, I haven’t posted much about it because it’s been painful to watch and I haven’t even seen a lot of it.  Maybe at some point I’ll dig though and post the information, but we had a few positive stories yesterday and this is the first one is from KOIN.  Click on the image (or here) to go to their site and view.  We also had coverage from KSBW and they said it should be on their website shortly.  Thanks KOIN, for your coverage and helping my late brother’s family help realize their dream.

Great story. Do what your doing! No need to post the accident coverage, it’s stories like these that will move you in the right direction. I lost my old man to a very slow cancer death. For a very long time I found myself going over the details and the events that led to his death.. I found I had to move forward to stories like these. Great story.

Keep the shop alive, I buy all my stuff there.

Bummed I missed the opening, I showed up at 730am, duh! Anyway the staff still sold me a mask as I was going diving. Great staff you got, they keep the Aqua Safaris vibe alive and well.

Yes, life does move on and with what we hope a bright future ahead pushed on by the wonderful memories we all hold so dear. DeDe’s family (her father, brother and myself) are happy to see the reopening of the dive shop. I was able to be there during the week and for the reopening on Saturday. It was nice to talk with the news and I want to thank them for their efforts in sharing the news with the community. Aquasafaris does have terrific staff that have all enjoyed working for many years with DeDe and David to offer the superb services, retail, educational opportunities and just a good place to get the right answers to questions. I joyfully look forward to the continuance of the love to the business my family have shared and am delighted that Aquasafaris was able to continue. Hopefully the dive friends will be able to support it and share their Aquasafaris experiences with friends. The future success still remains a combined interest of the dive community as well as the Dive shop. The scuba classes continuing as well as the opportunities to travel offer future fun and wonderful underwater travels for any that have the lust for diving in their hearts. Thank you to all that helped us celebrate the reopening and as David would say “Let’s Dive” and DeDe would say “Can we help you”? And how Luke and Ryan would have loved sharing some of their wonderful underwater adventure stories! Have you ever seen the “golden seahorse”? Well Ryan did and was thrilled! Thank you to all of the dedicated and knowledgeable staff (aquasafaris family) for your efforts, let me know if I can help in any way. And God Bless the Houghtons, David, DeDe, Luke and Ryan for sharing their love of life with each of us! In loving memory, Linda* Mom and Nana
